Olympic Companies, Inc. is a multi-state specialty contractor covering everything from drywall and fireproofing to acoustical ceilings, EIFS, and spray foam insulation across Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota. When they discovered The EDGE at a trade show in 1990, they were still estimating longhand with scaled rulers and calculators — a slow, error-prone process that leadership knew had to change.
They purchased The EDGE in 1991 and have used it on every bid since — from $5,000 jobs to projects worth over $20 million. Today, 28 to 30 estimators and project managers work inside the platform simultaneously across four modules: Fireproofing, Acoustical, Drywall, and EIFS. “Even with other companies coming along trying to entice us to use their programs, we are so satisfied and invested with The EDGE that we have stayed with it for so long,” said Estimating Vice President Pat Forliti.
